About Christine

MY TEACHING APPROACH

I believe in natural language acquisition in a fun & supportive atmosphere focused on your passions.

Everyone has an accent so we will embrace your beautiful accent whilst we work to perfect your pronunciation. The goal is to be understood and to understand, not to erase who you are.

I believe that we acquire languages best in the way we learn our native languages as babies-with gentle, kind, and loving people introducing the language to us through natural conversation.

I believe that life long learning happens when people follow their passions so I feel language learning should focus on the interests and passions of the learner.

Current linguistic science research supports natural language learning through conversation and reading and watching things that are interesting to the learner.

ABOUT ME

I am a homeschooling mother of 7 and I am not only a language teacher but also a language learner! I am a history geek and my dream is to work on an active archeological dig. I love to travel with my husband and children and together we have visited 10 countries so far. I enjoy photography, reading, and making pottery. I love to talk about politics, environmentalism, world cultures, and the arts. Many people are shocked to know that we used to live in a school bus we converted into a tiny house.
