About Trishan
I work with students at their own pace and offer activities that pose the right amount of challenge for their level. I also offer practice exercises so students can reinforce what they learn.
Students can email me at any time with their questions and I am always eager to assist.
I enjoy seeing students' level of understanding and performance increase in the subject matter.
I possess a Bachelors degree in Education, specializing in the subjects English and Literature. I have successfully taught for 10 years at the high school level and 1 year teaching at the elementary level.
I have taught, supervised and assisted students in gaining excellent scores in major national examinations.
English/Literature has always been a passion of mine. I have a burning enthusiasm for this subject which I seek to pass on to all students with whom I interact.

My typical process for working with a new student is to make the student comfortable to express where his/her weakness lie in the subject. I also try to establish early on, what level the student is currently performing and build on that.
In addition to this, I try to make the student comfortable with me and my teaching process. Once that is out of the way, I work on targeting the weak areas as they relate to the student's current grade level curriculum.
Practice is of utmost importance in any subject area so I offer students numerous ways to put what they have learnt into practice.
