About Alexandra
I have lots of tricks to help with studying and remembering certain facts and methods. I also like to make sure I know what the student's preffered learning method is. For example, if a student is a hands-on learner- I would try to incorporate art or hands-on work while helping them to understand a topic.
I enjoy tutoring because I like to help people understand things better. I know how stressful and confusing school can be and I used to visit a tutor myself. It makes me feel good as a person when I help someone to have an "aha" moment when they finally understand a concept.
I volunteered as a tutor in middle school and realized it was something that I really enjoyed. I also desired a way to start making my own money and thought that tutoring would be a good option based on my academic success and past exerience with kids.
I volunteered as a tutorer in middle school for National Junior Honor Society. I have also earned rewards for my success in my classes and for my GPA.

Figuring out what their weaknesses are(what they're having trouble understanding, etc). I want to make sure they are as comfortable as possible and what their favorite and most effective learning style is.
I have worked with elementary and middle school aged students, as well as my peers.
Some advice would be to hire someone you feel comfortable with. You don't want to have to spend a lot of time with a person you don't get along with or feel comfortable around.
I earned an award for outstanding performance and GPA in my science class. I was really excited about it because it took a lot of work to earn it.
