I practice face-to-face, one-on-one tutoring. My first goal is to get to know my students in order to gain an understanding of their needs, and my lessons will be structured depending on these needs. I believe that anyone can learn when they are interested in what they are learning, so I tailor my lessons to use subjects/analogies that incorporate things in which they are interested. I believe that encouraging my students to take responsibility for their learning is key to their future independence. Together, we set goals that can be used as a measuring stick for both the student's pace, and my own lessons' success. I am patient, approachable, and try to have a little fun, too.
