About Salim

I love to see students improve and deepen their knowledge of the French language. My aim is to motivate students to want to learn for themselves, which is why using their own interests and passions as a way in to the language can really work as an approach. I am calm and approachable, and happy to support learning in any way I can. I am organised and disciplined regarding lessons, but I want students to enjoy learning and express themselves as much as possible.

About the lesson

I like to work through a practical spoken French approach, with written resources to support learning. I use students' own interests as a way of motivating them, but can also teach literature based courses eg for A level. Lessons can be tailored to students' needs and availability, but typically last from 40 minutes to one hour. I have taught French to private students in the UK with excellentresults, but for the last few years have been teaching ESL to students in francophone west Africa, where I was working on projects with national governments.

I am happy to work on a short-term or long-term (ie more than 20 lessons) basis. For long term contracts, I am prepared to reduce my rate to £25 per hour.
