About Tom

Hello, I am Tom.

I am a native French speaker and I know English thanks to my studies in the USA.

I am currently in law school, studying in French and in English.

The meetings can be held in French and/or in English.

I have been very interested in learning about different cultures since a long time and I have travelled in many countries in Europe, Africa, Asia as well as in the USA and Canada.

I would love to share the cultural aspects of these experiences with you and much more.

My lessons are exclusively held online. No minimum lessons required.

Western European culture lessons:

I would love to provide you help about topics related to the culture of the Western European people. I am specialized in the culture of the European French speaking people whether it is the French, the Belgian or the Swiss.

I can help you with preparing a cultural trip or to move out to Western Europe so you will know how to behave during social interactions and what to expect from the locals.

I can also help you prepare for a business trip or a full-time job in a European French speaking country to be ready for the social interactions you will encounter in a workplace environment.

If you are interested in learning about the similarities and differences between the cultures in the USA and in Western Europe, I can provide you with real life examples and more general concepts regarding the way of thinking, habits, customs.

You do not need to have a project to come and learn as this can be done just for fun and/or for your intellectual interest.

I have a large understanding and experience on the above topics so you can ask in advance for me to talk about a specific topic and I’ll make sure that you get the best experience from our meeting.

The meeting format is optional. We can have a discussion on the topic. I can make a presentation and you can ask questions. I can speak slowly or fast depending on the difficulty of the topic and your ability to understand the language. If you would like another format, please make sure to let me know in advance so I will adapt myself to your needs.

French lessons:

I can give you French classes as well whether you are a beginner or more advanced.

If you need to practice speaking in French, I can speak with you and correct you whenever you are not pronouncing something right or if you do not use the right words.

We can have conversations on any topic so you can learn about specific vocabulary.

I am specialized in giving you advices and comments on how to make or how to improve a presentation that you will do in French whether it is for work, a class, an exam or any other purpose.

If you want specific classes about government and politics, please contact me through the website or during a meeting with me.

Never hesitate to ask questions. I am here for that.

If you feel like you do not have a good level in French or English do not make it restrict you from having meetings with me as my primary motivation is to make you improve at your own pace therefore I adapt myself to your specific needs.
