About Meredith

Bonjour! I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor's in Secondary Education French. I have always been fascinated in learning languages, so I am excited to share my passion with my future students. I have an initial NyS certification for French 7-12 and I am an active member of both the education and foreign language societies I was inducted into as a student of Manhattan College. I knew I always wanted to be a teacher not because of the teachers I have had that had inspired me in my life but more the teachers who were not successful. I wanted to discover that there is better teaching out there, and what can I do to be that successful/influential teacher to my students.

I have a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Secondsry Education with a concentration in French. I also have my initial NYS teaching certificate in French grades 7-12.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, I find it important to start off by finding what the learning needs of the student is. By familiarizing myself with their mes ring needs, I can help the student overcome their misconceptions and misunderstandings in the foreign language, and therefore grow their second language acquisition skills.

I have experience with students in grades 6-12.

Look for a tutor who seems passionate to work with you and help you understand the language. Someone who is willing to make themselves completely available to you.

My student teaching experience at a specialized high school in New York City. I made great relationships with the staff and students.
