About Renee

I am a French native speaker and have taught French at all levels,in all kinds of settings. I have taught children at Montessori School, High School students in public and private schools , Community college, University students at UCSB , and adults . I have taught in the United States and abroad. I speak 4 other languages and take pride in being able to point students in the right direction, depending on their needs. I am a linguist by trade and also a professional certified translator. I know how to facilitate language learning and make it fun, so students progress rapidly.

I have a Master degree in French linguistics and literature as well as in Spanish. I also have a master in FLE (French as a Foreign Language) from a French University. I have also taught Spanish and English as a Foreign Language in the United States and in Africa.

I have extensive teaching experience, I love teaching languages , and my knowledge of several other languages helps me help students discover a new language and culture. I am familiar with many different websites that accelerate the learning process while having fum doing it in a real-life situation.

I have been teacing for over 35 years, different languages and again in different settings. I always loved teaching languages .

I have all necessary qualifications to teach French and can adapt my teaching to the individual needs of each student.

About the lesson

First I try to determine their level and of course try to understand their reason and motivation for learning French.

All sorts of students. As mentioned earlier I have taught small children at Montessori School, High School students in both public and private schools, University students and adults at Adult Education Centers. I have also tutored privately , as needed, to help students reach the desired level, and I have also been a Reader at the National AP French exmination for the College Board for many years. I understand what is needed in the field and can help students overcome their difficuties, be it is speaking, understanding or writing.
