About Ellen
I'm an enthusiastic 27 year-old French and English teacher with a B.A. Honours in Modern Languages and a Cambridge English Teaching qualification. I achieved four A grade A Levels (French, English Language, English Literature and History) and seven A*-As at GCSE. I have over nine years teaching experience. I specialise in tutoring English language and literature, French and supporting students in studies and examination preparation of Humanities subjects. I advocate discussion and debate with analysis of literature, encouraging the student to form alternative and personal interpretations to get under the skin of texts and source material. I am open to suggestions from the student themselves concerning the direction of the lessons and will shape the lessons around each student's needs. I have experience teaching a wide range of ages, levels, subjects, text books and needs and I adapt my classes to best meet the needs of my students. I am dedicated and passionate about helping my students to succeed and always love learning as much from them as they do from me.
