About William

My quest to become a golf professional began as a young child. I was mentored by some of the world’s greatest teachers including, Tom Sergeant, and Jack Fleck with the latter being the past 1955 US Open Champion. I played in the Junior PGA as a teenager with the likes of Tiger Woods, Ted Oh, and Carson Daly. I became a PGA golf professional at the age of 18. I was the youngest to achieve pro status at the age of 18 for the PGA south central section. I was the assistant golf professional at Hardscrabble CC in Fort Smith, before taking the head golf professional position at Wichita State University. I played on the PGA Japan tour for one year in 1998. Other accolades include: member of the PGA South Central Section Ryder cup, where I was one of five pros chosen to represent the state of Kansas. I was on the initial committee that helped start the First Tee Program in Northwest Arkansas. I have played on the big stage with some of the biggest names on tour. I have been honored to play in PGA sanctioned Pro Am’s along side Arkansas native John Daly. I have coached all ages and all levels of experience. In my later years, I earned my Medical Doctorate in 2006. I continue to play at a high level and look forward to playing in many tournament events in the 2024 and 2025 season.

After playing college golf, I decided teaching golf was more enjoyable

I became a golf professional in 1998.  I was the assistant golf pro at 2 different country clubs.  I went on to become a Medical Doctor.  I am currently working for Amazon, but I am also looking at a return to golf at the professional level

Age and Body type are very important to tailoring a golf swing to fit an individual.

All types!

I'm old school.  I don't need swing monitors and other devices to help me teach.  I use methods passed down to me from my teachers

Doing great things with Amazon.  A lot of my accomplishments in golf took place more than 2 decades ago
