About John

I have forty years experience helping players of all ages and abilities get more enjoyment and excitement with their golf. My experience helps me identify how to help the players improve most quickly. I actively use video feedback, teaching aids, and drills to help golfers find their best swings.

Nothing is better than watching someone achieve the goals they have set for themselves. It is gratifying to be a part of the process.

My forty years of experienced have taught me one thing, there is always more to learn.  I have attended multiple seminars and programs, and have sought out multiple members of the top 100 instructors in the US.  In the last few years I have focused less on what to teach and more of how to teach it.  I am a student of how people learn and apply in my approach to teaching.

I like to have a short an informal "interview" with the student to determine their goals, if there are physical restrictions of which to be aware, and any background I can draw on to help make ideas about golf more relevant to the student.

I have worked with players of all levels and abilities.  I have helped multiple junior golfers become scholarship players at DI universities and worked with golfers with physical and developmental challenges.

It is hard to beat experience when dealing with complex ideas and motions like swinging a golf club.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are your short term goals?  Do you want to improve quality of contact or be more consistent in terms of your shot dispersion?

Where would you like your game to be in 3 months, 1 year, 3 years?

How much time do you have to play?  How frequently can you play?
