About Melissa

From learning golf etiquette or basic golf skills, I offer a ride along service especially for women. Having someone you love try and teach you can be frustrating for both of you, and signing up for lessons with a Pro is intimidating. I started golfing 7 years ago and found my passion, and so many of my girlfriends were too intimidated to even try. I take the scary, embarassing part out of the game. My friends asking me to teach them. Having husbands, significant others wanting thier partner to golf but not wanting to teach them or they had tried to teach them and it didnt go well. Seeing other women frustrated and embarassed on the course looking for help but not wanting the formal teaching with a Pro yet.

My love of this game and wanting to introduce more women to it. I have only played for seven years and I can attest to how confusing learning this game can be, I keep it simple and work up from there. I want it to be a more relateable experience so everyone can enjoy the game!

About the lesson

I like to meet at the course a half hour before our tee time, get familiar with what level you are at and show you what is in your bag. Hit a couple of balls before we are on our way to playing.

My personal friends, some who were familiar and had tried to golf before and some who never swung at a ball.

Have a good attitude! Golf can be so frustrating if you let it but as I always say none of us are that good to get mad at our game, so enjoy it! If you arent playing well enjoy your friends company, the scenery and wildlife because there is always plenty of that on every course.

Me and my husband just got back from a golf vacation with our couple friends. It was one of the funnest vacations we have been on, we rented a house on the course and played everyday. All of us golf at different levels but still had a great time. I also love you can golf almost anywhere you travel. We even golfed in Yosemite National Park.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Make sure its something that you are really intrested in. I have friends that their partner desperately wants them to like the game but they have no intrest, but also give it a chance. Seven years ago I had no idea I would love the game like I do now. I even stayed back to watch everyones kids now I golf more than all of them!
