About Richard
Hi my name is Rick... my love for music started in 1970, my first instrument was the violin, then the clarinet. In 1980 when Rock Guitar took off ,the guitar became my instrument of choice, I loved the whole music scene from that era,, trying to to understand the music more I started online lessons with Dick Grove ..(concealed information) he gave me a firm foundation in Music theory which I believe is essential to any musician,, I also studied at UC Berkeley for a semester.
I believe in teaching music instead of copying music,, with a foundation in theory,, you'll understand Harmony and melodies, and how they work together ,, I will teach you Music theory ,ear training, how to read and write tablature, Pentatonic scales, 3nps Maj scale and all of its modes, Chord building , and speed techniques, etc. or if you desire any song you want ; ) If any of this sounds to difficult, it isn't... ; ) all you need is strong desire to learn, and good practice habits, Im looking forward to helping become a better Guitarist and Musician.
