About Laren
Hi! My name is Laren Rapp. I have taught guitar lessons for over a decade, to students of all ages. I try to use music that YOU are passionate about as a tool for learning a vast range of guitar fundamentals. Ranging from Rock to Blues to Country, I can help you understand lead riffs, chord progressions, and rythem, all while learning your favorite songs!
I've always loved to teach, as well as play guitar. Giving lessons is something I've done for a long time now.
I took several one-on-one guitar courses in college. I've taught one-on-one lessons and group lessons for over a decade. I have a degree in English Writing and a minor in music.

I like to learn what their musical interests are, as well as goals, as a new musician. And then use the music that they are most interested in as a tool to help them learn basic fundamentals.
All age groups. Ranging from 6 to 60. I've taught group leasons at 2 different YMCA locations here in my hometown. I would say I specialize in teaching Rock, Blues, Country, and Pop.
Practice is key. But so is having fun.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What type of music do you see yourself playing?
Do I have time to practice? ((And not just crame-practicing 20 minutes before their next lesson. Don't worry, I'm guilty of it too ;) ))
