About Blake

I have been playing acoustic, electric, and classical guitar for almost 15 years and am very knowledgeable about all techniques and styles to fit your personalized lesson. I love teaching beginners and am extremely patient and understanding of how tough it can seem to break through on guitar just starting out. Trust me! I took lessons myself for 6 years! The first thing I ask a student is "what are your goals for playing guitar?" Want to just get down the basics? Learn how to maneuver through the scales seemlessly? Or just become a solid rhythm player and cut out the errors and learn to play any song on the first read? I'll always tend to your personal goals when it comes to this great instrument and help with building a solid foundation to get there. These are beginner lessons, and therefore will be very affordable. I am 100% confident that I can take any beginner with the desire to learn, and provide a stable technique and knowledge that will absolutely improve your playing forever.

Been playing acoustic, electric, and classical guitar for 15 years, taken lessons myself for about 6, and started teaching myself recently.

About the lesson

Typically I like to discuss the students goals and intention with guitar so that I can make a personalized experience for them.

I am the best teacher for beginners without a doubt. I don't typically teach advanced players and music theory as I believe that if that is what the student is looking for, there are teachers more knowledgeable in those specific subjects that me, respectfully.

Look for someone you click with. Make sure the teacher is someone you trust and can be open with, there's never anything wrong with having to repeat something multiple times or asking to slow down. Find someone you are comfortable with and that understand what you want to learn.
