About Luis
* With over 40 years of a guitar in my hand, I truly enjoy playing and sharing my knowledge.
* Having spent over 20 years in the higher education world, I know first hand how to help our youth obtain their goals and improve their skills.
* I love to use today's ever changing technology and social media to reach, share, promote and post my offerings and the knowledge that I obtained from some of the greatest guitarists of all time... now you can learn from them through me too!

Many years ago my cousin wanted to start playing guitar and began with him...eventually he progressed so well he became an instructor himself at Kendall's Conservatory of music while started teaching my own kids and it just grew from there.
I was formally educated in guitar by Mark Ivansavich @ Not Just Guitars in Miami. Beyond that I began independently studying the works of Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Kirk Hammet and James Hetfield, along with Dave Murray and Adrian Smith. As I progressed I also began to study more eccentric artist like Santana.

Initially we like to access their current skill set and level. Obtain from the student, their goals and aspirations with instrument, their favorite artists and songs they would like to learn and then custome make an IEP( Individual Education Plan) designed to help them achieve their goals by establishing certain conditions, metrics, benchmarks and personal preferences to help them achieve their intended goals. Not every student is the same, nor wants the same, so each student has a plan tailored for them..rock on🤘🎸🎼
Too many to name now after many years... it has included relatives, friends, band mates, friends kids and online teaching through YouTube or Jamkazam.

Details
Initially $30 a half hour $50 for an entire hour. If more than one class per week is desired, then typically $65 for 2 sessions a week each 45 minutes. Students need to spend in between days practicing techniques taught though.
