About Cole

- I've been playing professionally for five years

- I carry a music degree in performance from Vol State

- Have 10+ years experience with bands and performing solo as an artist in Nashville

- Have played across multiple genres. I.e., Blues, country, bluegrass, pop, hard rock

Word of mouth. At first it was helping friends improve, then referalls from other acquainteces came in, and then I decided it was time to develop a more structured platform.

Years of different instructors, a degree in music performance, and a genuine passion for the art of music.

About the lesson

The process is dependant on the student's level and goals. Everyone has a different relationship with music so there is no one size fits all system.

Kids (age 4 was the youngest). Teenagers, adults, and people 40+

My only advice would be to go into it with an open mind, and have some kind of direction of what you'd like to acheive. From there, we can tailor a plan to get you there!

Hosting and performing a Halloween event called Ghost Fest. 91.1 advertised it on their radio station, Nashville Indie promoted it on their social media pages. We performed originals and covers in a front of a full room of people in Halloween costumes and it was a great time!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I wouldn't overthink any of it. Music is a lifelong journey and one day at a time will lead you to more new discoveries and skills than you can imagine.

Perfect! Cole is a master of music theory and an excellent teacher. He is also a very talented musician on many different instruments being able to directly correlate theory to physically playing. I highly recommend getting set up with Cole for some lessons! Good genuine guy all around.

Perfect! I knew absolutely nothing about guitar when I first found Cole. I had just bought a guitar on impulse and did not know a single chord. Cole has been super patient with me. Not once have I felt dumb, or gotten the vibe of frustration or boredom from him. I would definitely recommend Cole, no matter your experience level.

Perfect! I have been putting off learning to play the guitar for many years. I bought a guitar over 30 years ago and started lessons then. After going for only a couple of weeks I put it aside and there it stayed. Occasionally I would pick it up and think about lessons then put it away again for extended periods of time. I finally decided to find a teacher and make it work for me this. I feel very lucky that I found Cole Harper. He is patient with me and my advanced age. Being older makes finding chords a little more difficult for my old hands. Cole makes me feel like I could have learned to play a long time ago if I had only found him then. I am learning now and I highly recommend Cole Harper as a music/guitar teacher.

Cole combines Music theory with practices and exercises that are practical to whatever playing style you want. The location is very easy to get to and easy to park, so you don’t have to worry about any of that either.
