About Leonard W

My lessons delve into the fundamentals and basics of guitar and piano, teaching you everything you need to know about being able to accompany yourself for auditions, YouTube/TikTok covers, and more. Our lessons will start out learning the instrument, and eventually will be customized to the songs you want to learn and perfect.

I am an actor/musician based out of New York, where I have performed professionally in Off-Broadway shows, as well as a few new works, where I have been able to demonstrate my musicality through acting, singing, and playing my instruments

Feel free to visit my website (concealed information) for my resume and videos for reference.

I enjoy the passion for music. If you're having a good time during your lessons and learning these skills, it makes me happy and hopeful of the great musician you'll turn out to be.

I have always been fond of teaching other people what I know. I remember being in school and yearning for the teachers to just tell me the stuff I needed to hear; wanting to learn only what was necessary. I began teaching guitar and piano to my friends in college who were excited to learn so they could benefit from their new skills. I honestly feel that if someone knows something that others may not, it's their duty to spread that knowledge to the people who want to learn.

I am an honors graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in Performing Arts. Since graduating, I moved to New York, where I've performed professionally Off-Broadway, singing in multiple cabarets, toured the country and worked on several new-work musicals.

About the lesson

I want to know where your musical level is at. Whether you're a world-class musician or someone who has never picked up an instrument, we'll be able to work together to learn how to go about these lessons in the most efficient and thorough way possible.

I have worked with people of all ages, from toddlers to adults. I recently worked with an early childhood music company in New York where I was playing guitar and leading music-based classes to infants and toddlers.

Find a teacher who is willing to work with you. Find someone who is patient and shares the same interests as you. I know a lot of independent teachers go on these websites to teach because they are passionate about their craft and want to share their skills and talents to people who are equally as passionate. So if you're not passionate about learning and enjoy what you're doing, this may be the wrong site for you to find a teacher.

As much as my generation hates it, I admire the app TikTok. As I scroll, I see so much talent, not only through dancing but also through music. I, too, have dabbled with uploading some music content, and it's great to get feedback and encouragement from the community.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1. Am I passionate about learning this craft?

2. Am I committed to practicing?

3. What is my goal in learning these skills?
