About Mark

I have been playing guitar and bass for nearly 15 years. I have played in bands and as a solo singer-songwriter. I strive to not only help students learn the fundamentals of guitar and bass, but I also want them to find their own voice through their instrument. Whether you want to write your own songs, use yor guitar to accompany your voice, be able to play with other musicians, or just play your favorite songs, I want to give my students the tools to achieve their musical goals.

Although playing an instrument can be challenging, those challening moments can really pay off and I love to see students learn and grow as musicians.

About the lesson

During the first lesson, I like to get a better understanding of what the student already knows at that particular point. I also like to find out what goals the student has, what kind of music they want to play, and what they want to get out of lessons.

A guitar teacher should teach you the basics that every guitar player should know. However, a guitar teacher should also be able to help you reach your specific goals. Every student is different so lessons should be customized in some way.
