About Mike

I am in my young 60's and still love playing , singing and teaching others . I started at the age of 9 when my older brother showed me the guitar and, House Of The Risen Sun . I Studied in two studios in San Diego CA as a older Teenager while attending 10th grade and continuing when I returned

Months later, in North Attleboro at Miconi's music. I had my own family, taught two of my daughters to sing and play the guitar with my oldest performing with her class at Disney world and have been blessed to play many get together's with them for family , friends and strangers, from Birthdays, Weddings, Holiday events to two Family Funerals, and more. I'm constantly learning to improve and teach and encourage others as well . I can be found on Thumbtack.com , Google, and can read my bio , linked in, Facebook ,

and YouTube searching under my name and Jill Thibault playing and singing from years ago . Please always check out who ever you choose. To many scams out there and happy to give references of my musician and teaching ability. I offer a Technique of playing and Teaching for more advanced playing with over 50 yrs now and showing many , I'm only looking for serious , motivated Student Musicians and should know your basics , How to Tune ,Open E Notes , Cage, Some Major Basic Scales and knows how to play different Chords and some songs , Basic strumming patterns . I will teach and show you more Advanced Strum Patterns with slaps to give it more rhythm , Base runs, Minor scales , more advance, teaching, Hammer On's, Pull Offs, Finger Picking techniques , 2 notes slides , & using a Capo relating to chords without Capo. Showing sings with classic Riffs and Bass Runs With Hammer Ons , Pull Offs incorporated . look forward to meeting you and Teaching you . You will not be bored. Only motivated and driven where I value my time and will yours. I'm only looking for 3-4 students tops a month.

I took Music appreciation and music theory in school and have over 50 plus years being a musician and yrs of teaching . I've played many private outings, some public events, and family and friends Get to get togethers for many occasions. I've been in bands from high school up until my late 40's , still play out occasionally, write new songs . Studied locally at Music and in San Diego while in High School there. Played from Maine to Key west , Mid west , and local . Hope that gives you an idea of my experience and love for music.

About the lesson

I like to spend a few min and see what they are trying to achieve , how they hold the guitar and can position their fingers and if they are comfortable with it. Then talk about the kind of music they want to play , the style of music, and songs they like to learn, and set goals to help them achieve what they expect from me. I've taught many and some it just comes natural and others it was harder because of their ability to hold the instrument, play chords , notes , scales etc. If your not able to provide a guitar to play then I will be happy to provide one until you do .
