About Gail

Heywood Music Studios has been offering the best in music instruction since 1991!

I am a nationally certified teacher of music with a masters degree in music education. I am a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association.

Piano lessons with me are awesome for several reasons. Firstly, my teaching approach is engaging and tailored to the individual needs of the student. I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment, fostering a positive attitude towards music education.

I hold both a bachelors and masters degree in music education. I have a Wisconsin certificate of instruction and have taught grades k-8 music at a parochial elementary school in central Wisconsin. I am also a nationally certified tacher of music. I annually attend workshops, conferences and seminars to stay current on latest teaching trends and materials.

About the lesson

Ask questions...what are their credentials? How long have they been teaching? Have the teacher play for you. Do they offer performance opportunities for students? What are the studio policies (re: practice expectations, music purchase, choice of repertoire, payment options, etc.). Cheaper is not always better. A beginning student needs to start with the best teacher the family can afford.
