About Emme
Latin has been in my life for a long time and is something I very much enjoy. I recently graduated cum laude from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Classics and Women's Studies. This past semester, I was also awarded the William Smith Prize in Classics which showcases my dedication to the Latin language. I started taking Latin in 6th grade and continued taking Latin until I graduated this Spring. I have studied both prose and poetry, including Virgil, Ovid, Livy, Tacitus, Catullus, and Medivial Latin.
The thing I love most about Latin is being able to learn about Ancient Rome through primary texts. I enjoy learning about Roman life and culture through the language and texts they used and read.
I recently graduated with my B.A. in Classical Studies from William Smith College. In 6th grade, I started taking Latin and I also took Latin for 3 years during my time a Miss Hall's School. In high school, I worked as a study mentor and helped younger students with their work and implimenting good study habits.
