About Vasumitra
I'm currently a graduate student at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor studying computational biology and automated science. I have studied and excelled in mathematics courses and standardized tests from grade school through college. I am comfortable tutoring in any elementary, middle and high school math courses up to high school calculus, as well as SAT and GRE prep.
I started tutoring about 6 years ago and have found it to be very rewarding in all of my experiences. My students and their parents have consistently seen an increase in grades and a better understanding of the material. I come to lessons well-prepared and try to communicate subject matter in a way that's best for each student (visual cues, number tricks, etc.) My favorite part of tutoring is sharing my love of math and problem solving with students. Every hard test is a challenging problem with an interesting solution!
