About Molly
I am extremely excited to make learning meaningful and do my best to phrase things in whatever way will work for every student. I have my master's in elementary in education and 3 years classroom teaching experience. I have been tutoring for 6 years now and have all the perfect tools to do so virtually. I really want to help students gain back the confidence I know they have in their learning.
I began teaching because my younger brother really struggled to learn how to read and I wanted to help encourage others through that process. It doesn't always come easy and I wanted to be the person helping others connect the dots and feel more confident in their abilities.
Master's and Bachelor's degree in education. 6 years tutoring experience and 3 years classroom teaching experience.

I always do some work getting to know my students and their needs in our first session. Which not only includes having them work through some things but also letting them fill me in on where they are at. I want to know what they would like to work on or feel they could use more practice on in order to be more successful.
I have worked with students of all need and ability levels from 1st grade all the way up to 7th grade. I have worked with students with 504 plans as well as those with IEP's in order to meet their specific learning needs. I have also worked with advanced and gifted students in order to push and accelerate their learning compared to grade level.
I would say make sure that you feel comfortable with this person and that you feel they are the right person to help you in this process. It's ok if they're not a good fit. Sometimes people don't always work well together and that's not a bad thing to be aware of.
I am very excited for the UNC vs. Duke basketball game coming up in March Madness.

Students should really think about their goals, both long and short term so they can be sure that their needs are what they need to be working on in order to accomplish those goals.
