About Kristin
I have taught math and I am currently a part-time tutor at Lipscomb Academy and have been there for 3 years. I have my degree in Electrical Engineering, but just really love math. I enjoy helping people better understand math and I try my best to help them see it visually and work the problems by hand. I work mostly with middle school and high school students and I love that they want to be there and work with me. I know teachers don’t always have the time to break a problem down, so it’s so rewarding to see the students I work with make that connection with me when we take the time to analyze the problem and break it down step by step. I like to make sure I understand the parents and students goals and make sure I communicate with both on what we have worked on and what additional practice may be needed. I will also provide additional problems with answers if needed. I prefer to work during the day when my 3 children are at school. I can work remotely using goggle meet, so we can talk face to face and I can sharing my computer screen and the student can share their work with me.
