About Lana
I am a certified public accountant turned high school Career and Technical Education teacher. I have a passion for learning and teaching and would love to be able to help you or your child succeed! I have just finished student teaching and will begin my first teaching job this fall 2020. I spent 2 years tutoring university level accounting while in college.
I am passionate about learning and helping others. I want to do my part to ensure that students have a fair chance to understand their course work and help them succeed. I enjoy seeing a child understand something for the first time.
I have a Bachelor of Business Administation with an emphasis in Accounting from Drury University.
i am also a Certified Public Accountant and worked as an accounted for about 3 1/2 years before moving into teaching. I have spend 1 semester student teaching business education (Accounting and Personal Finance) and will begin my first teaching position Fall 2020.

I like to know what subject and unit they are working on. I prefer to have some notice so that I can brush up on whatever the student is currently working on. I like to get to know how my students prefer to learn and what strategies work best. Because this is an individual experience, I am able to cater to the needs of each student.
