About Leah
I have had a passion for teaching math since I was a teenager. I was not always great at math but then I found someone who showed me math in ways that made more sense TO ME. I was a math teacher for 8 years. I spent two years teaching 6th grade math, and 6 years teaching 8th grade math, with an accelerated Algebra path. I truly believe that no one is "bad at math", they have just not been given the information in a way that makes sense to them. I have a deep understanding that not everyone learns the same and I make it my mission to find what works for each individual. Although the majority of my experience was in middle school, I am certified 1-8 and am confident in all areas. Math can be tough but with the right tools and the right teacher, we can find what makes math work for you
