About Enver

My ultimate goal is to change the perspective of math from something foreign and formulaic into an intuitive, masterful artpiece. I know that math can be difficult, but I plan to not simply teach formulas or postulates, but to teach how to think mathematically.

I am proficient at LaTeX, a math typesetting program, so I would be available to create personalized documents for students.

Currently, I'm a first-year math major in Rutgers University, but in my high school years, I had taken courses up to Multivariable Calculus and obtained final grades greater than 95 on all my math classes.

I took competitive math tests and scored well: 1st in NJ for the Trig-Star test and an AIME qualifier for the AMC 12.

In addition to contests, I also self-studied parts of Abstract Algebra and Analytic Number Theory: I understand the struggles with learning math. It is those struggles, however, that help us grow.

I love math, and I hope I can get you to see its glimmer too!

Learning math is like hiking. Starting at the beginning of a hiking trail, the path webs out to so many different areas. Sometimes, while you walk on the trail, you stumble upon a hidden path few people might see. When the trail seemingly ends, you have to forge it yourself!

I started teaching by helping out some of my friends. Often times, my friends came to me for math-related help. Whenever they did, I made sure to make sure they understand the concepts correctly and wholly.

I worked in Mathnasium over last summer, so I have some official experience in teaching kids, but most of my experience comes from helping fellow students. Many people in my school would come to me for help on assorted math classes, so I've developed my own strategies and techniques for teaching math principles.

I've taken math classes in school up to Multivariable Calculus (including Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus 1 and 2). I also have some problem solving experience with contest tests.

First, I'd like to get to know them a little, I'd have a friendly conversation.

Then, we'll start getting ready to work. I'll start by asking questions that would test the student's previous knowledge on either the subject at hand or similar ones.

From there, we'll work on certain topics in the subject given and work our way through until the student is proficient.

Along the way, I'll assign homework assignments (probably short, maybe 5-10 questions). I'll also make test or note documents as needed (all with LaTeX!).

I've mainly worked with high school students. However, I've also worked with younger kids in Mathnasium.

I'll help any student, so long as they are willing to take my help.

Learning math is challenging. It's almost like climbing a mountain. The climb up may be arduous, but the view from the summit is definitely worth it.

I recently bought a new laptop, one with great graphical capabilities (it had a GTX 1660TI Max Q). I've never had a computer that was able to play modern titles, so I'm pretty excited for it to come in. When it comes, I'm going to play Doom (both 2016 and Eternal) and Nier:Automata. Super hyped for it!
