About
I hold a bachelor's degree in Math and a Master's in Computer Science. After 40 years as an Engineer and Technical Account Manager in the Telecommunications industry, I have transitioned into tutoring. I am available to tutor Math and English writing/grammar/etc.
For Math, I focus on arithmetic, geometry, and algebra. I am patient with students, emphasizing step-by-step problem solving and showing your work. I convey to students that "in real life" we use math every day, and stress the importance of learning math... IE it is not just a subject to get through and then forget.
We have raised a large family of homeschooled children, so I have been exposed to teaching math and English to a variety of learning styles.
