About Lanesha
I love children, and I love math. I currently teach third grade. This is my fifth year teaching elementary math. I have a plethora of resources to help children learn the basic concepts of math.
I have always had a passion for teaching, but a shift change at work pushed me to obtain my degree.

I find out the student’s likes and dislikes and incorporate those things into math to help it make sense.
I have worked with students that had a low, medium, and high socioeconomic status. I have worked with students below grade level, on grade level, and above grade level.
I would advise that student to search for a teacher with a few years of experience. Newer teachers have a variety of strategies at their fingertips.
I have a student that is on a kindergarten level in math, but he is in the third grade. I was able to teach him to draw out his numbers in order to add, subtract, and multiply successfully.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should share any questions or needs they have with teachers. The more teachers know the better they can help the students.
