About Chris

I customize my curriculum to my student's level, abilities, education and objective. It's not a one size fits all type of education just as in the real world not every photographer creates the same vision or art as any other.

I've always loved the vision and the ability for photographs to tell stories and also unit people in a commonality we all share as human beings. The abilty for the photographs we create to evoke emotions and share the beauty of this world is what has always driven me.

I began teaching when I was a lab assistant for my photojournalism professor in college. I taught English in Japan for several years and have been training and educating my assistants and my second photographers for the past 15 years.

I have a bachelor's degree in Photojournalism. I mentored with several amazing photographers before starting my corporate career. I have a diverse background from photojournalism, to coporate photography to consumer and commercial portraits to automotive photography. I've photographed over 10,000 portraits and 400 weddings during my career as well as countless editorial magazine article assignments.

About the lesson

Get to know them, their skills, their passion, their goals and discuss what their objective is for their growth process.

I've worked with students with all skill ranges, passions and objectives.

Find a teacher who is patient, listens and has a background that can help you grow and develop as a photographer.

I once worked for a photographer named Chris Bailey on a photo shoot for Pontiac on the Golden Gate bridge. It was life changing.
