About Jagdish

I have been into photography for the last 15 years and with DSLRs for the last 6 years. Landscapes, long-exposure shots, Milkyway shots, fireworks, street photography, outdoor portraits (individuals & family) and portraits with bokeh effects are my specialty.

I use/teach 'Adobe Lightroom 6' to update color tones and touch-up lighting if needed, I try to keep it as original as possible. I am NOT a Photoshop user or teacher. Lightroom is better for Photographers than Photoshop.

I conduct my lessons depending on your current skills, knowledge, and preference.

The course typically runs 8-12 hours depending on the student(s). I typically do this with a series of 2 hours sessions.

Capturing the beauty in landscapes, people in locations and lights.

I conduct my lessons depending on your current skills, knowledge, and preference. You will learn about JPG vs RAW, Shooting modes (P, A, S, M), using Flash, exposure, how to set and creatively use shutter speed, aperture to call attention to your main subject, control your auto-focus so the correct thing is in focus, HDR, Panorama, Aesthetic/Artistic Considerations (rule of thirds, leading line, balance, subject isolation, etc.), and several other topics based on the learning rate. I don't like overwhelming the students with so many concepts before they are good with basics.

During the course, we can go out to a park/lake/trial nearby and learn photography on location in real-time. I also recommend street photography. I use 60-70% time training the student(s) with their DSLR and rest to go thru the photos and do some touch-ups using Lightroom.

I own Canon 6D, 16-35mm f/4, 24-105mm f/4, 70-200 f/4L, 85mm f/1.8L and lensbaby twist 60. I will certainly walk you thru the uses and application of these lenses.

I didn't have any formal photography training. I self-taught my self using online resources.
