About Jeff

I was a full time teacher for 16 years and have a Masters Degree in Teaching. I have been a photographer/videographer/Graphics professional for over 30 years. I work full time in production for commercial and private clients. It is my job every day to be creative and to produce the ideas that my clients and I come up with for their particular projects.

I have worked with All ages of clients and students, on complex and basic projects. I'm happy working on whatever my client wants/needs to get accomplished.

I started teaching professionally directly out of college, and have never really stopped. Continuing to learn myself, and teaching, have been a consistent part of my entire life.

Besides having a Masters in Education, I have trained more interns than I can remember. I have taught college level tech to graduate students.

I am mostly self taught in Photography, Photoshop, Video Editing, Lighting, Sound, Special FX.

I have taken professional level paid online courses from industry professionals, as well have been to numerous Live Seminars throughout the country in photography, and computer graphics (photoshop, special FX/visual FX, and video production.)

Although I have a great deal of experience, I continue to teach to all levels of students, from brand new..."I just got a camera" "how do I launch photoshop" to students creating professional videos for commercial clients.

I work with All ages of students and have a great deal of patience, for basic beginner questions (regardless of your age.) I respect people trying to learn new things, and realize that that can be intimidating in our fast paced world. I don't embarrass my students when they ask questions. It is a process we go through together. No One Know Everything! Whatever topic you study there is always someone who knows things you may not know yet.

My first step is to figure out what my student wants to learn, and what skills and or experiences they already have.

I continue to work with All ages of students. I was originally an elementary school teacher for 16 years. Working in the professional production/art field I have worked with (taught) adults from 18-80s.

Find someone knowledgeable and patient. The world is constantly changing. You can't know everything about everything, so don't be shy or embarrassed to ask questions even on things that you think Everyone probably knows. A good teacher should be understanding and appreciate that you are not afraid to admit when you don't know or understand something.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Try to figure out your goals. What would you like to learn? How much time are you willing to spend learning that, and what is a good teacher worth in helping you achieve those goals?

I have a few levels of pricing, depending on the frequency and needs of the client. I work those out with the client, by finding out what their goals are seeing how we can best meet those through our lessons together. One time help with a specific issue is a different level than someone who wants to go through some continuous learning process...like you might do when learning how to play the piano.
