About Will
I love to see students faces when they "get it"!
Every student is different and each person's background is unique. I customize and personalize each lesson for the student based on their background and what they want to get out of photography.
Seeing student's go from being unsure of what they are doing, to mastering how to learn to what they want to do, to mastering what they wanted to learn.
I want to school to be a social science education teacher. I usually sponsored a photography club for after school where I taught photography basics using cell phones point and shoot, and the occasional DSLR.
Studio photography classes in high school & college, high school & college photographer for the school newspaper and yearbook, PR photography in college, owned wedding photography business for 5 years, still shooting as a serious hobby in my free time.

Ask them a few questions:
- What have they done in the past to learn photography?
- What they want to learn now?
- Why do they want to learn photography.
- What equipment will they use and are they familiar/comfortable with it/do they know the basics of how to use their photography tool?
High school, college, and adults.
A portfolio is nice, but just because a person can take great pictures doesn't always mean they can teach you how to take great or even good picture.
Look for a teacher who can work with you to improve your skills and is flexible to find other methods if the first method isn't working.
Camping at a state park and enjoying watching nature play as the sun rose for the day.
