As an adult beginner piano student, I had no musical experience before I signed up for lessons with Ruth. I liked working with Ruth for many reasons, some of them being her patience and kindness, her thoroughness in making sure I played a song correctly before we moved on to the next one, including learning technique, and she always made sure we spent the full 45 minutes together if we had to start late. I moved out of state otherwise I would have continued lessons with Ruth; I will miss her very much!

My daughter is incredibly shy and finally got the confidence to take lessons with Ruth this past year. She had been teaching herself on a keyboard for about 2 years but was too nervous to take lessons and have the "pressure" of someone watching her play. We just completed 1 year of lessons with Ruth and I am amazed at the growth in my daughter's skills but also her confidence in herself. She played her first recital (via zoom because COVID-19) in December and the fact that she performed on screen for family and strangers was an accomplishment itself. But her piano skills blew me away. To see that Ruth could teach her SO much with just one lesson a week in 12 months is incredible. I'm incredibly proud of my daughter and very thankful we found Ruth. And to top it off, Ruth is very affordable :)

Ruth is a sweet and dedicated piano teacher. She really cares about her students and encourages them to enjoy music. My 7 year old son is learning a lot and really enjoys taking classes with Ruth.

It was very good experience to work a nice teacher! My 10 years old has been in Ruth's Happy Piano studio for more than 1 year, and he loves the lesson. He learned a lot, built the interest in learning piano. No pressure, no hussle, and as the parent, I felt that I always get what expected.
