I teach at the pace of each student. I'll go as fast as they want to go, or as slow as they need to go!
Students as young as 5 years old, up to 80 years old. Have worked the entire range of abilities, from very proficient performers to high-functioning autistic.
What are the credentials of the teacher? Be prepared to pay more as the teacher's credentials show more education and experience.
Our students are encouraged to perform at our annual Music Showcase in May of each year. It is an optional participation, but the numbers and quality of participation grow more and more every year!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The primary question I ask is: what are your goals? I will approach lessons differently if you just want to learn basic piano skills, for example, than I would if you want to perform competitively as a virtuoso.

My kids have been learning from Mr. Rich for almost 2 years now. He is very friendly, accommodating and very helpful.
"Mr. Rich" is an amazing teacher. He teaches my autistic daughter piano. He is patient and professional. He understands her needs and is able to adapt to her learning style. He has been amazing over the years. Mr. Rich is always positive and promotes a learning environment. We are so fortunate to have found him.
We just started working with Rich with my daughter who is in Kindergarten and he has been great. I was worried that it would be hard to keep her engaged with the virtual lessons, but he does a great job and she has been excited and even sits down to practice without being asked!
Our daughter always looks forward to her weekly piano lessons with Mr. Rich. He has been very patient and encouraging, and we have seen her skills grow significantly in just a short time. The virtual lessons are super convenient and have been a great alternative to in-person lessons—not only safer during the pandemic, but also saving on travel time and gas. We also appreciate the various practice materials/methods Mr. Rich uses to help expand and build our daughter’s skills throughout the week when she is not in lessons. Overall, we greatly enjoy our experience and recommend (Mr. Rich) Haley Music to all our friends.

I work off of a FLEX plan which allows my students a certain number of absences per year. I generally charge $30 a half-hour lesson in person, or $20 for each remote lesson.
