About Jodi

I started playing the piano at 4 years old and started lessons when I was 5. Before I was in High School I remember sitting at the piano for hours - as almost the whole day went by. I performed in dozens of recitals and accomplished many awards. I've accompanied many vocal and instrumental ensembles throughout my 50+years of life. My love for music brought me to study music and obtain my bachelor's degree in secondary music education with a minor in piano pedagogy. I've been teaching since 1983. My passion and experience as both student, teacher, mother, and grandmother contribute to my ability to encourage and develop musicianship skills to all ages.

After a family health crisis, I began an aditional career focused on health, massage, and prevention for the last 20 years. My passion for health continues - and my love for music and piano never died. I am eager to get back to helping others discover and develop the musician within them - wherever it leads them. My teaching style is fun flexible and creative as I strive to give my students freedom to discover what works best for them! I love seeing the pride and joy my students experience as they develop their unique musical contributions to the world!
