About Emmy
I teach a music method that is fun, fast and saves money over time. I let the learner lead and I follow as they find their learning rhythm. I have a love for teaching, music and God. I feel he speaks through me to share my gifts as well as teaching others to do the same. I teach all ages.
I love connecting with my students each week. I consider them extended family. I love to see the look in their eyes when they have accomplished something that was originally a challenge for them.
I took for 10 years then my teacher offered me a job teaching in her studio as an apprentice.
I have been teaching music for over 20 years. I teach traditional methods as well as a method I learned from John Schmidt from the piano guys. It's a faster, more fun method that teaches you how to see the note and play it quickly. I did take some college music courses. I have a people person personality. I care about the whole student not just technicalities of showing up and passing off a song.

I have a simple registration form, we go over goals, expectations, and recital dates and times. I require payment upfront each month at the first of the month. I take PayPal to easily track expenses.

Details
I charge $20 for a 30 min private lesson. I charge $10 per student in a group lesson. I also do mom n me lessons for $30 if the student and parent want to take together. I implement a group lesson once a month for those who enjoy the social aspect of the studio. We have prizes, games and practice for upcoming recitals.
