About Greg

Classical and worship music styles taught for all ages.

I love music and teaching the latest styles and methods in piano and trumpet. It is inspiring to see the potential and unique skills in each student emerge and mature.

Lead instructor, Greg Stevens - keyboard artist and band leader for Harvest Community Church, former member of Jackson, Michigan Symphony, and former student of Jerry Franks - runner up for Tonight Show Band leader and director of Dimension in Brass, Indiana. Music minor from Spring Arbor University.

I love seeing the rapid advancement in music appreciation and skills in my students of all ages. Music does indeed soothe the soul and is shown to enhance brain and motor skills. All of my children have been in music, and my son is a professional musician in Nashville! This is my passion - seeing others gain in their love for music, and ability to create music.

I have launched a new music academy - hosted and sponsored by Harvest Community Church at 701 Cole Dr. SW, Lilburn, GA.

Music Minor - Spring Arbor University. Spring Arbor Symphony, Jazz Band, Traveling trumpet trio.

Private Piano Lessons - 10 years, including 2 years University piano lessons.

Private Trumpet Lessons under Jerry Franks (Mr. Franks was offered the Tonight Show Band lead, but turned it down to remain in teaching).

Lead keyboard and band leader - Harvest Community Church (25 years)

Jackson Michigan Symphony Orchestra, Barker NY Community Orchestra

8 High school and University musicals

Piano Player for weddings, special events.

About the lesson

I first begin with a thorough assessment of your unique interests, musical passion, and current aptitude to music. Next I will develop a tailored music program that suits your tastes and current level. This ensures you will advance quickly, and that things don't get monotonous or boring. Music should always be fun and enjoyable, regardless of current abilities.

I will focus on key skill development in each lesson, with a new emphasis each week. These focus areas eventually re-inforce muscle memory, hand-eye-brain coordination, and overall advancement.

Finally - I try to ensure that a LOVE for music develops by making the entire process fun and enjoyable. We will hold an annual recital at Harvest Community Church to show off your new skills to friends and family!

Grade school, Middle school, adult. Beginners to intermediate.

Ensure you hire someone with a love for both music and for people who want to learn music. They go hand in hand!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What styles of music do you enjoy most? Are you willing to learn classical music in order to learn certain techniques and skills? Do you have time available to practice 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week? Do you have an appropriate instrument that is enjoyable to play?
