About Alice
Home music lessons are the perfect answer for busy families and working parents. I offer a range of services from exam and competition preparation as well as lessons for those that want to simply enjoy music whether that be classical or popular music of the day. I offer theory lessons in all disciplines including harmony, counterpoint, history, analysis, as well as rudiments. In addition, I can offer group classes for those who put together a group of three or more students for any of the theory disciplines.
Having lessons in your home, especially if you have more than one child can be a great solution for many families. You can determine the lesson length in your home but the time can always be divided each week depending on needs of each child and how they may be affected by school schedules, homework and other activities.
I believe it is important to discuss with parents and the students their expectations for the lessons and set goals for each student. Each student can, if desired, explore the world of all types of music, have a musical experience that best suits their interests and goals. I am a teacher that will engage and support the student through their musical journey considering each of their individual strengths, interests and needs and share a love and passion for all music. We can discuss how music fits into a child's life as well as possible different needs and learning styles.
I can also work with adult students who are new to the piano or adults wanting to refresh or continue with their piano skills.
