About Roberta
Hello, I am an experienced piano teacher who has been teaching young beginners through adults for many years. I also taught in the public school system for over 26 years before retiring in 2020. I am currently on staff at the NJ School of Music, teaching piano at their Cherry Hill Division. In addition, I enjoy teaching privately in my own home, as I have a newly renovated space that lends itself well to my 7 ft. grand piano. I am currently accepting new students and look forward to hearing from you to set up a trial lesson.
After attending college, I immediately got hired to teach music and always taught piano privately as well.
Two Bachelor degrees in piano performance and Music Education from University of the Arts. Over 26 years of teaching music (both instrumental and choral) in the public schools. Over 30+ years teaching piano to students of all ages.

Talk over the phone and set up a trial lesson so that we can become familiar with each other. This will allow me to evaluate the student and determine the best plan for us to move forward in a productive way.
I work with students of all ages and levels, which include young children, teens, college level and older adults.
Practice the right way, so that you don’t waste your time. Be open to learning and playing different styles of music. Play from the heart and enjoy the experience!
One of my students whom I taught for 11 years, beginning in the first grade just recently left me to begin his new journey - attending Rowan college in the fall. He was an extremely talented pianist, who participated in the music program at Seneca HS for 4 years, and will continue to participate at the college level as he focuses on his major.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are your goals and expectations? What would you ultimately like to do with your instrument?

My son has been taking piano lessons with Roberta for almost eight years. She was great with him when he was little - very patient and encouraging - and has challenged him as he grew. Very knowledgable and. teaches both technique and theory. Truly cares about her students -even took the time to come to our son's first high school band concert to see him play. Wonderful teacher!
My child has been taking lessons with Roberta for over five years and has never stalled in her progress. I am steadfastly impressed week after week and believe my investment is well placed.
