About Emily
I have been teaching piano and other subjects for 30 years. Having relocated on retirement I want to continue to combine my two passions, children and music. I only work with students that have an instrument as this shows a commitment to learning. Buying a small keyboard before the student starts lessons encourages them to learn.

I use Alfred or Faber or Bastien. I encourage note recognition from the first lesson and back everything I do with a strong knowledge of theory. Giving beginners confidence is one of my strengths.

Perfect! Emily is a great teacher. She has a positive attitude and is flexible with helping me with pieces I want to try. I can tell that she is passionate about music, and she has very reasonable rates.
