About Malayna
Hello! I am a 20 year old Music Business student studying at Berklee College of music. I am a professional singer and have recorded my own music I have written. I have also played piano for 17 years and was self taught!
Music Theory wise, I've always had the brain and enthusiasm to learn more! I love learning from other while I'm teaching them!
I have given piano and voice lessons before to children ages 6 up to 15. As well as basic piano lessons and beginners music theory.
I have a facebook music page that I would atatch!

I would love to start teaching anyone from kids to adults about the basic knowledge of music theory, singing, piano playing. I believe that music is an important part in our lives and is really enjoyable to learn!

My vocal coach who I've been working with for 11 years and who also plays piano suggested to me a few years back about starting to teach others. For Music theory It was myself and my own inspiration that wanted to take on teaching others.
I have been taking lessons for 11 years with the same vocal coach and have been self taught on piano for 17 years. With music theory I have been taking courses from beginning to advance for 7 years. I was taking advanced college theory my junior year of highschool. I am now currently studying for my Music Business Degree. I have taken many course from, singing, ear training, music theory, Jazz theory, harmony, arranging and more!

No matter what you are teaching it is always best to get to know your student(s). Talk about what their hobbies are, what do they like/dislike/, if they are older and work what do they do for a job, or are they in school. Everybody learns in different ways, the better you get to know someone they easier it is the teach someone.
I have worked with students ages 11-15 on piano, vocal, and theory. The youngest I have every taught for piano was 6 years old.
Go for it! If you have a passion and interest, don't hesitate to try! When looking to hire a teacher, you want someone your confortable with and can connect and learn from well!
This past 4th of July, we hold a festival in Montpelier, Vermont. I have the honor of singing the National Anthem in front of 5,000 people to start off the ceremony of fireworks and more!
