About Magdalene
Hello! My name is Maggie and I am an experienced music teacher and have taught both privately and in the classroom for over ten years. I have a bachelor's degree in vocal performance and have extensive experience singing professionally as well as a master's in choral conducting.
If interested in voice lessons my specialties lies in my training as an opera singer. I focus mainly on vocal technique from a classical perspective and encourage the student to use proper breath support and diction to achieve a more easy and efficient sound.
If you are interested in piano, I have many years of experience working in schools, churches, and community groups as an accompanist. For beginners, I focus on basic piano fingering, rhythm, and music reading. My goal is for the student to enjoy the piano learning experience.
If you are interested in learning more about my experience here is a link to my professional webpage as well as my Linkedin webpage:

I love music and have since I was a child. I enjoy sharing my passion as a singer and pianist with others especially young people as I think it offers a person the opportunity to be creative and expressive.

When working with new students I like to work on building a trusting relationship first. This way, they feel comfortable making mistakes throughout the learning process and are more likely to achieve their personal goals.

I have seen Maggie at work with a children's choir and am very impressed with her ability to both keep children on track and also bring out their best singing voice. She is knowledgable, capable and experienced. She's a great teacher!
As an adult with some poor singing habits, Maggie helped bring me back to basics and focus on the foundations of good singing and was able to tailor the lessons to my needs. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone.
