About Anneliese
As an avid pianist since I was six, one of my goals in life is to help other kids find the same kind of connection to music that I did. Piano is not only a source of great joy for me, but also a source of stress relief and relaxation. I've been playing piano and taking music theory for 14 years and have been teaching lessons for 2 years to a variety of different talent levels.
I started teaching as a favor to my childhood piano teacher when she needed a summer off and I absolutely fell in love with it. Being able to share my love of music was exactly what I wanted to do.
I've taken piano lessons for 10 years and have been continuously learning music theory for 14 years. I also sing in the choir at the University of St. Thomas as well as an acapella group here on campus.

I usually start the first lesson with a "get to know you" conversation with both the parents and the student. This helps me to see what kind of learning style I'm working with and also helps to familiarize the student with me.
I've worked with mostly beginner students, however I would be more than comfortable taking on more advanced students. Adults and children are both welcome; no one is too old to learn to play!
Hire someone who understands what you need in order to learn. Someone who doesn't try to understand that can't possibly teach you to play piano or how to appreciate music.

Details
General pricing is $20 per half hour lesson as long as lessons fall within my 10 mile radius. Prices scale up accordingly ($10 per 15 minutes) and subject to change outside that radius.
