About Shari
I have taught for the past 29 years and I am a certified Taubman Instructor who specializes in ergonomic body alignment for the best possible positioning and ease of motion. This creates a basis to produce the most musical tones. I also retrain adult musicians who have piano related injuries.
I enjoy working with talented and motivated students: adults and children.
Mannes College of Music

The main thing in the beginning is to establish a correct hand position (with the knuckles in the right place), and learning how to get arm weight into the keyboards.
All sorts from Church musicians to piano teachers to young students.
Go to someone who can show you what she/he does in terms of progressing a student along from the beginning to advanced levels. Certainly there should be a rapport with the teacher.
Any good classical concert!

Shari has been my daughter's piano teacher for over 10 years. She has the unique ability to tailor her approach to each individual student. She nurtures the unique musical profile of each student: from small children just starting out to adults returning to music after a long absence. I wish she had been my teacher as a child!
