About Christopher
I have been playing the saxophone for 15 years, and have studied with world-renowned saxophonists around the country. I'm a performing chamber musician and clinician, having given masterclasses at universities throughout the Midwest.
I've taught lessons since high school and have enjoyed it since the beginning. I was approached to teach beginners at a young age and have developed, what I believe, is a good method for cultivating a solid fundamental understanding of the instrument to build on and encourage growth.
I have a bachelors degree from Boston University and a masters degree from Northwestern University as well as having performed and competed in national and international competitions as both a soloist and chamber musician.

I typically offer a free initial lesson to see if a student and I will be a good fit. From there, we discuss schedule and goals for the student and I can recommend materials from there to help work towards those goals.
I've worked with students of all ages from elementary school through college level. I primarily teach classical and contemporary music.

Details
I typically charge $20 for a half hour lesson and $35 for an hour. I charge an additional $5 if you'd prefer I travel to your home to teach to cover gas and the additional time.
