About Jennifer

As a young girl my mother always ensured that our native language of Spanish continued to be a part of our new everyday life in the U.S. "El burrito no va adelante" she would say to correct my tenses. Every day my mother would teach and correct my Spanish. At the time, I would become infuriated with her for not letting me get to point across in Spanglish. Now, as an adult, I see the importance of language and am beyond greatful for all the time she spent trying to improvey Spanish. The fond memories of my conversations with my mother is what drives my passion to help others learn Spanish. I feel as though a lot of collegiate courses focus on the grammar, and written language but forget the importance of simple every day conversation.

I am a native Spanish speaker with an advanced regents Diploma from Bay Shore High School. I have 3 years of experience in insurance sales predominately focusing on the Spanish market. I have volunteered for the Brentwood chamber of commerce in New York which is predominately made up of Spanish speaking business owners.

In addition to being a native Spanish speaker, I graduated highschool with an advanced regents diploma and an AP Spanish test score of a 5 which is the highest score. I have also taken numerous college and sales courses in Spanish. I obtained my life and health, and property and casualty insurance licenses to focus predominately on the Hispanic market.

About the lesson

When establishing a teacher student relationship I like to take our first session as a conversational class to get a feel for you and your language needs. I also like to take this time to get a sense for your learning style. While some people are visual learners others learn best by practice and direct emmersion. I like to mold my teaching style to my students.
