About Chelsea

Recently graduated college student with a BA in the Spanish language with a minor in child and family studies. An aspiring teacher who works well with children and is always looking for ways to educate others. Currently out of workt due to the Covid-19 panidemic but would still love to interact with people through technology.

I have always loved the educational environment and have been accepted into a teaching program to become a licensed teacher after the Spring of 2021. I've spent many hours in schools rounf my home including working as a Special Education Assistant for six months

I have volunteered in schools since I was in 6th grade and have since then been even more involved in the public schools around my area. This includes me working in alocal elementary school and tutoroing at Portland Comunity College for a little over a year.

About the lesson

I love to get to know them first to see what their goals are and set up expectations on how our sessions will go.

I have worked with students young and old. My goal as a teacher will be to teach kindergarten, however I have had much experience with all ages. While working as a tutor for my local college I worked with older people who have recently decided to go back to college, as well as students who are new to college in general. The ages I have the least experience with are high school ages. However, I am confident in my abilities to work with the needs of my students no matter their age.

Look for a teacher that is willing to admit their mistakes. Teachers are only human just like everyone else. They should be willing to share the inofrmation they have without being condecending or arrogant.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should have an idea of what their goals are when coming to the teacher. If they have no end goal then tehre isnt anything to work toward.
