About Luz

My name is Luz Rios. I am passionate Spanish and English Teacher with eight years of experience, strong communication skills and the dedication to guide my pupils to do their best while meeting high expectations.

During my free time I love dancing, reading about neuroscience, drawing and spending time with good friends and my family.

I can assure you that with the combination of my passion for education along with my creativity, I would help you reach your goals, I am determined to get great results at all stages of the learning process.

My teaching experiences have allowed me to work with students from a variety of backgrounds. I have worked with many groups of students who have been very diverse both culturally and linguistically. As a professional educator, I know how to set priorities, organize work flow, produce results, and reach goals. One of my greatest strengths as a teacher is the ability to meet each students’ unique needs by having an in-depth understanding of their abilities, and personalities. My priorities include maximizing individual student performance, inspiring students’ interest in technology and other learning tools, and instilling a sense of self-worth among all students.

About the lesson

Every language learning process start by testing the actual knowledge the student has about the second language to be learned.

I will provide a diagnostic test using different activities to evaluate the four basic language skills.

I will ask questions related with the interest, needs and expectations of the student to have a clear idea of what the student will be working during the future lessons.
